Moosewood Art Studio students are having a blast so far this Fall semester and the creativity of each class has been wonderful. Art Foundations 1 and 2 are in the middle of a project where they are learning about form by working with paper Mache. Each student gets to create their favorite animal while learning the basic techniques used when working with this medium. Right now we are in the building stages of creating each of the animals. It is wonderful to see how the students are learning how to look at shape and form three dimensional. When drawing, an artist usually has to deal with one view of the subject they are trying to depict. With Paper Mache the student needs to look at the shape of the animal in multiple views. Take a look at the projects so far. Can you guess what the animals are yet? stay tuned for updated pictures of these and more projects.
